2008, painting





Finally, we paint the bottom at the La Marina del Palmar. Alejandro is the owner and has a great crew. It ended up costing me over $2,000 USD and a full week on the hard...but she is all done and should be great for another few years.

By the way, I found out ( the hard way) that you should have the bottom cleaned once a month. A diver costs about $34 USD for a 34 ft on deck boat. This is a must in the Sea of Cortez.

La Paz, the city of Bronze statues, 2008






Flew into La Paz, Baja Sur, Mexico on Alaska Air (Delta also flies there now) in January 2008. Time to haul the Noe Mar, repaint the bottom and the topsides. Since I had the yard two doors up from the Marina de La Paz and I could sleep on the boat and their staff would do most the work, I decided to take pictures of all of the Bronze Statues of this beautiful city...so here goes:
